A Travel Expert's Guide to International Travel in 2022

A Travel Expert’s Guide to International Travel in 2022

Advice from a Travel Expert

Americans are traveling more now than at any time since the pandemic began in March 2020. Currently, much of the travel is domestic, but Mexico and the Caribbean have been welcoming US tourists throughout. As more of the world is beginning to reopen, we want to help you plan your international travel with ease and our expert knowledge.

Here is our guide to international travel in 2022.

How to Prepare for International Travel in 2022

Conduct Research Early

As we wrap up the last few months of 2021, now is the perfect time to begin planning your international travel plans in 2022. With the world getting back to normal, more people getting vaccinated, and borders starting to open to tourists, you want to make sure you’re at the forefront of the booming new travel industry.

Ensure all Your Documents are Up to Date

Most international destinations require proof of vaccination as well as a negative COVID test. Therefore, it’s essential to research which destination you are visiting to ensure you have all the required documents. Make sure all documents are up to date and ready for when you arrive.

Plan with a Luxury Travel Advisor

No one is more up to date about current travel restrictions than expert luxury travel advisors. When working with Spear Travel Group, we can ensure that your itinerary will be unaffected by existing travel restrictions so that you can enjoy the best that these destinations have to offer safely and responsibly.

International Destinations to Book

Interested in planning your next international travel trip but are unsure of where to look? Here are a few of our favorite international destinations that are currently accepting American travelers.

Aruba

Aruba has been one of the most accommodating travel destinations during the COVID-19 pandemic. To travel to this lavish destination, Travelers must provide a negative COVID test within three days of departure, complete a traveler health assessment, and purchase travel insurance from Aruba’s government for $30.

Greece & Greek Isles

Greek borders have been open to American residents since April 19th, 2021. To experience this beautiful oasis, travelers must provide a negative COVID test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival or must have proof of being fully vaccinated for at least two weeks before departure.

Italy

Italy officially announced that they were opening their borders to American residents without a quarantine period in June 2021. To ensure both residents and tourists remain safe and healthy, they now have loose protocols in place. To travel to Italy, tourists must obtain a negative COVID test 48 hours before their departure or provide proof of vaccination.
